symphony pacemakerCardiac Pacemakers, Lead & ICDs

Symphony
The Symphony pacemaker is highly advanced, providing everything that modern pacemakers are expected to provide and more. The Symphony is a fully featured device including longevity without the large volume and weight of other devices. The cornerstone of the Symphony is the AAISafeR function, providing safe treatment unparalleled in any other device.

ovatio

Ovatio
The Ovatio Family of ICD’s offer the worlds smallest physiologic shaped devices in the world today. The primary features of the Ovatio include PARAD+, delivering high specificity of patient therapy, AAISafeR to reduce harmful ventricular pacing and Brady Tachy Overlap to pace in the slow tachycardia zone.

Ovatio features include:

  • New! Physiologic shape with smooth contours, only 11mm thin and 30 cc.
  • Brady Tachy Overlap (BTO) enables biventricular pacing the slow tachycardia zone to maintain resynchronization during exercise with no arrhythmia related programming restrictions.
  • The maintenance of biventricular pacing inside the slow ventricular

AAISafeR

AAISafeR 2

The first AAI mode to offer ventricular backup.

Today, we should pay attention to four main facts:

  • Clinical evidence is indicating that atrial pacing is of most benefit in atrial pathologies, however this must be weighed against the risk of developing AV block.
  • Permanent ventricular pacing, when not needed, gives rise to deleterious haemodynamic and rhythmic consequences, especially in the atrium.
  • Unnecessary Ventricular pacing can still be an issue when using all the programming manoeuvres available in DDD to avoid it.
  • Access to diagnostic data from both chambers will be required even when operating in a trial single chamber mode to allow accurate arrhythmia identification and long term patient monitoring.

As a consequence, the pacing mode in atrial pathologies should be reconsidered. AAISafeR mode was designed to achieve this ambitious goal.

AAISafeR: a safe mode

  • Permanent AV Block

AAISafeR regularly checks AV conduction during the first hour after programming the mode. If AV conduction is impaired AAIsafeR then paces in DDD permanently.

A single attempt to restore AAI pacing is performed every morning. Switch back to DDD is immediate if intrinsic conduction is not detected.

  • Additional Safety Criterion

Temporary DDD pacing is triggered when the maximum ventricular pause is reached.

The maximum permitted ventricular pause is programmable (2, 3 or 4 seconds).

Programming/Follow Up

AAISafeR mode benefits from all the features included in SYMPHONY pacemakers:

  • Dual sensor rate response, mode switching, anti PMT, smoothing...
  • AF prevention algorithms: overdriving, pause suppression, acceleration on PAC’s (Proven effectiveness among patients who have preserved intrinsic AV conduction).
  • Reliable sensing of atrial events: sensitivity can be programmed down to 0.1 mV, short automatic refractory periods.

Orchestra – Touch the Heart

Orchestra, Ela Medical dedicated programming system, offers, quick, trouble free follow up for all ELA Medical Implantable Cardiovertor Defibrillators and pacemakers.

Speed
  • The touch screen facilitates navigation inside the software and allows fast access to the “Follow-up Assistant”.
  • Fast printing of reports and Holter episodes thanks to an integral thermal printer.
  • Patient files are available for immediate visualisation on starting the programmer.
  • High-resolution surface ECG.

Ergonomic

  • The screen’s size, it’s brightness, and the large angle of vision make reading comfortable.
  • Created for the future, Orchestra integrates all necessary software and modem tools for external and hospital intranet communication.

Reliable

  • All follow-up reports, selected Holter episodes and tests, are automatically saved in an individual patient directory.
  • Fully configurable printing gives real time reports adapted to individual practice.
  • The tests are linked automatically: impedance and integrity of leads, pacing and sensitivity thresholds.
  • The sequencing of screens can be customized according to the clinicians practice.

Complete

  • The list of Holter episodes, specifying their type and treatment, allows direct access to markers, EGM tracings and rhythm statisitics preceding the arrhythmia.
  • Parameter changes, as well as any abnormal values, are specified at the end of the follow up.
  • All other programmer functions remain enabled when using the "Follow-Up Assistant" which ensures total versatility and safety.
